Occupational Training in Port Logistics in Beirut-OT1
Within the series of trainings conceived by the EU funded project YEP MED, The second occupational training OT1 in blue sector took place in Beirut between the 25t and 29th October 2021. Indeed, 40 young men and women from various Lebanese regions and diverse educational backgrounds participated in the YEP MED port logistics training program. The training was organized by the Beirut Chamber, a key partner in the YEP MED project. The ultimate objective is to attract further youth manpower to this promising sector. The training lectures communicate knowledge in Port Physical space and legal framework and governance; ports operations; IT Solutions for logistics services; customs Institutional framework; Shipping Lines and agents Main characteristics of transport modes: air, rail, maritime & road, optimizing supply chain management and smart solutions for logistics services.

YEP MED project is planning to dig deep into the smart port logistics sector through the upcoming comprehensive training program OT2-OT3 starting November 15 – 24 , 2021, in order to pave the way and familiarize trainees with the digitalization of port logistics operations through the simulation application ERP. Trainees will be awarded the YEP MED completion certificate delivered and signed by ESCOLA EUROPEA, lead partner of the YEP MED and Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
